Yes, that is where I also got the photo from. From what I understand, it is a mockup, like a clay form, of the actual C7 Z06, and the yellow was a photoshopped color, and the wheels. Of course, I can't confirm that, nor have I spoken with anyone that can confirm it, but alot of sneak pics, and photos with camo on the C7Z, have certainly shown alot of these similar features.

I definitely think the real C7Z will sit a little lower in the rear as well, and have a bit more of an aggressive stance. I do think the side fender, as well as the side skirts are pretty much dead on, and the rear brake duct vent will have a bit of a change to the overall size and shape.

Great site! The teaser photo on the Chevy reveal site, which was photo-shop'd with your Z06 logo, shows some subtle but interesting details that don't show up on the yellow "mock-up" view of the car which you reference above. The leading edge of the front fender integrates, via a vertical element, to the front splitter (which we cant see because of the angle) AND continues as the thin, carbon fiber (I hope) front fender shroud.

Also of particular interest, is what I believe to be a break in the linearity of the side skirt. I have seen an overhead picture of the camo'd Z06 where the side skirt tapers back toward the rocker panel just ahead of the rear fender, much like the C7 "Pacific" and "Atlantic" concept cars from SEMA 2013. I think that is what we will see for the side skirts instead of a straight piece from front fender to back fender.

Based on the camo'd picture posted above, I believe the front end will have directional, marginally off-vertical vanes contained within the larger overall mouth opening, which will channel air to the brakes and through the radiator.(similar to, but more artfully sculpted than, the front opening of the C7.R).  Combine that with the unique front splitter and fender shroud design, and I think you have an aggressive new look. More so than the "mock-up" job earlier in this post.

Saving up for one to purchase by the middle of 2015!

Another thought....

so if this is a spy photo of the actual C7 Z06, doesn't it appear to have a custom new hood to show off that new Supercharger?

2015-Corvette-Z06-specifications-620-hp-

It's difficult to see the modified hood, isn't it? I don't know that the hood will need a big change to fit this LT4 setup. It may be hidden under the drape of the cover. What is interesting to note in this test mule is that the front fenders are cut back around the wheel opening, for what I presume to be to make room on the standard fenders for the test mules huge tires. Note also that the side skirts and front splitter are missing from this one.

Welcome to the C7 Stingray Forum!! We are happy to have you here, and thank you for the compliments on the forum! :)

You have brought up some very valid points. Makes this even more interesting!! GM has been very tight lipped about the new C7 Z06 and it does bring up a lot more questions than solid answers. Even the amount of camo pictures they have released have left a lot to imagination.

I am very interested in seeing the final view of the front bumper as well as the hood, with the incorporation of the new supercharger. I do agree with you in that the front end will be a much more aggressive front end than what is currently on the C7 Stingray coupe.

I will have to take a second look at those earlier photos you mentioned as well.

Another big question as well is how they will change or alter the rear bumper with a rear diffuser. I would certainly think they will have a new diffuser and possibly even a new rear exhaust outlet configuration that gives the rear a more aggressive look as well. Hmmm.....

Of course, we all have seen this photo on the web. The interesting thing to note about this photo, it appears, is that it is really close to what the Z06 will look like. Notice the fender, and emblem placement, as well as the side skirts.

Thoughts?

Well, it looks like our early specs we released of 625 HP, and 635 ft/lbs of torque for the new C7 Z06, were correct after all. :D

Hot Rod magazine broke its embargo against official specs being released before 12:01 EST on 1-13-14, and the following info was published today.

Thoughts?

Got get with the times people..

They not forcing you into an Auto like alot of sports cars now a days.

Autos are faster its 2014. Chevy needs to sell cars.

Will I buy the Auto highly unlikely since I havent bought an Auto since my first car..

It is 8speed I am sure it will shift fast it wont make the Z06 look like like an auto from the 80s ..

I know alot of you born in the 50s and remember autos as the super slow slush box but right not the stingray auto is faster then the manual on the drag strip by a half a second..

Curious how many here actually really thinking about buying the Z06 and can actually afford the $100K ??? really curious..

We are proud to say that we were the only ones to have the EXACT specs that were released officially today. Then again, did you ever have any doubt?
Here are the GM Specs: https://www.chevrole...6-supercar.html
