Yes, that is where I also got the photo from. From what I understand, it is a mockup, like a clay form, of the actual C7 Z06, and the yellow was a photoshopped color, and the wheels. Of course, I can't confirm that, nor have I spoken with anyone that can confirm it, but alot of sneak pics, and photos with camo on the C7Z, have certainly shown alot of these similar features.
I definitely think the real C7Z will sit a little lower in the rear as well, and have a bit more of an aggressive stance. I do think the side fender, as well as the side skirts are pretty much dead on, and the rear brake duct vent will have a bit of a change to the overall size and shape.
Great site! The teaser photo on the Chevy reveal site, which was photo-shop'd with your Z06 logo, shows some subtle but interesting details that don't show up on the yellow "mock-up" view of the car which you reference above. The leading edge of the front fender integrates, via a vertical element, to the front splitter (which we cant see because of the angle) AND continues as the thin, carbon fiber (I hope) front fender shroud.
Also of particular interest, is what I believe to be a break in the linearity of the side skirt. I have seen an overhead picture of the camo'd Z06 where the side skirt tapers back toward the rocker panel just ahead of the rear fender, much like the C7 "Pacific" and "Atlantic" concept cars from SEMA 2013. I think that is what we will see for the side skirts instead of a straight piece from front fender to back fender.
Based on the camo'd picture posted above, I believe the front end will have directional, marginally off-vertical vanes contained within the larger overall mouth opening, which will channel air to the brakes and through the radiator.(similar to, but more artfully sculpted than, the front opening of the C7.R). Combine that with the unique front splitter and fender shroud design, and I think you have an aggressive new look. More so than the "mock-up" job earlier in this post.
Saving up for one to purchase by the middle of 2015!
