C7 Stingray Custom Interior

We are putting more carbon fiber pieces in the interior of this car. I said be careful because once you place it, you may not have a good time getting it to come off. So you better make sure it’s good. I am going to go ahead and finish pressing down all of this area. As you can see, it does fit pretty tight and snug underneath.

You can see the line here where this other one was. And then right next to it the seam going there so just kind of press down a lot now. I did have to take off the piece that was right here that went along here and that is what the other side looks like.

So it is similar to that one there I did have to take that one off that was right here to fit this on. It was not going to fit I was going to try to get it on there but there is no way it’s just too thick to fit. So once you have it placed and everything looks good. Just go ahead and just start pressing down a good amount on all of the edges. because you want to make sure that tape is adhering to the surface as best it can. So just really go to town with pressing making sure it is on there and try not to pick it up after it’s already been formed to the car here.

And just kind of press down a little bit there and it seems to have really worked. It is sitting pretty pretty good there so then we are working on putting these two on there next. So we will just take off the red off those and then place them there. And then we will show you the result here. So here is the piece that is going to go on that one.

Tape is already off go ahead line it up and then place it down. There is the first piece right there all you got to do is just kind of place it. And you can kind of press it down. But let us go ahead and get this one next. All right here is the tape off on this one. And then same thing we are going to place it and then press so that do all right.

There is the second piece there just kind of press down on it. The angles and the edges and stuff like that until you feel it is pretty much secured on there. It looks pretty good. That looks pretty good for sure. You got the carbon viber piece in here. This is looking pretty good check it out. Well there’s the carbon fiber install for the interior for your Corvette C7.

C7 Stingray Brake System Upgrades

The C7 Corvette Stingray is a masterpiece of engineering, boasting impressive performance and handling capabilities. However, for enthusiasts looking to push their Stingray to the limit on the track or enhance its street performance, upgrading the brake system is a critical step. Stock brakes are capable but may struggle under sustained high-performance use. A well-executed brake system upgrade can dramatically improve stopping power, fade resistance, and overall driving confidence. Here’s an in-depth look at C7 Stingray brake system upgrades.

Why Upgrade the Brake System?

The C7 Stingray comes equipped with ventilated rotors and Brembo calipers, which are suitable for spirited driving. However, high-performance driving generates significant heat, which can lead to brake fade, reduced effectiveness, and premature wear of stock components. Upgraded brakes ensure optimal performance under extreme conditions, offering better modulation, shorter stopping distances, and increased reliability.

Key Components to Upgrade

1. Brake Pads

Upgrading to high-performance brake pads is one of the most cost-effective ways to improve braking performance. Track-oriented pads, such as those from Hawk, EBC, or Ferodo, offer superior heat resistance, greater bite, and more consistent performance. However, track pads may generate more noise and dust, so a hybrid pad is better for dual-purpose use.

2. Brake Rotors

Performance rotors are designed to handle higher heat loads and improve cooling. Alternatives incorporate opened, penetrated, or a combination of both.

Slotted Rotors: These enhance heat dissipation and improve braking consistency.

Drilled Rotors: Provide better cooling and reduce weight but may be prone to cracking under extreme conditions.

Two-Piece Rotors: These offer weight savings and better heat dissipation, making them ideal for track use.

Brands like DBA, StopTech, and Brembo offer high-quality rotors tailored to the C7 Stingray.

3. Brake Calipers

While the stock Brembo calipers are competent, upgrading to larger, multi-piston calipers can provide better clamping force and distribute braking pressure more evenly. Aftermarket options like AP Racing, Wilwood, or Alcon offer lightweight, high-performance calipers that reduce unsprung weight and improve pedal feel.

4. Stainless Steel Brake Lines

Rubber brake lines can expand under pressure, leading to a spongy pedal feel. Upgrading to stainless steel braided brake lines guarantees steady water powered weight, giving a firmer, more responsive pedal.

5. Brake Fluid

High-performance brake fluid is essential for handling the extreme heat generated during heavy braking. DOT 4 fluids like Motul RBF 600 or Castrol SRF are popular choices, offering higher boiling points to prevent vapor lock and maintain consistent braking performance.

Benefits of Upgraded Brakes

Enhanced Stopping Power: Larger rotors and multi-piston calipers improve braking force and reduce stopping distances.

Improved Heat Management: High-performance rotors and pads resist fade during prolonged hard braking.

Better Pedal Feel: Stainless steel lines and quality fluid provide a firmer, more predictable brake pedal.

Increased Durability: Performance components are designed to handle the rigors of aggressive driving, extending the lifespan of your braking system.

Installation and Tuning

While some upgrades, like brake pads and fluid, can be installed by skilled DIY enthusiasts, others, such as calipers and rotors, may require professional installation. Proper bedding-in of new pads and rotors is critical to achieve maximum performance and longevity.

Upgrading the brake system on a C7 Corvette Stingray is a worthwhile investment for those who demand more from their vehicle. Whether you’re carving canyon roads or attacking the track, a high-performance braking system provides the confidence and control needed to fully enjoy the car’s capabilities. With a run of aftermarket choices accessible, you can tailor your overhauls to coordinate your driving fashion and execution objectives.
